Description from the seller
A truly beautiful-condition Amsterdam school pendulum clock from the Art Deco period 1920-1930 by Junghans. This version of the clock case is rarely seen and produced in small quantities. The symmetrical clock case (a hallmark of Art Deco) has a boat/ship-like form and features beautifully grained oak wood and is almost mint condition. On the front there are chromed decorative elements and the precious coromandel wood is richly applied, also in the front frame. The two chromed ball knobs on either side give a lovely accent to the case. The dial ring is brass and in mint condition. The domed glass door has a chromed rim and the sleek, slender openwork hands are typical of Art Deco style. The movement has been cleaned and, where needed, lubricated with clock oil and runs perfectly; the bim-bam strike has a very beautiful tone and can be heard on every half and full hour. This very luxuriously finished, splendid pendulum clock fits into any interior and is a true eye-catcher, and is shipped very carefully including the key. A beautiful clock that has a value connoisseurs will recognize, but offered here at no minimum reserve price!
