This exceptional mineral specimen displays Malachite in one of its rarest and most fascinating forms: a fibrous, needle-like crystal structure. At first glance it impresses with its intense, deep green color, which, combined with the silky sheen of the fine fibers, creates a vivid, almost velvety appearance.
The fibrous structure results from the uniform growth of numerous hair-thin crystals that lie tightly together, forming an almost textile surface. Depending on the angle of light, a silky, shimmering gloss appears, causing the piece to gleam anew from different perspectives.
Fibrous Malachite is clearly rarer than the more massive or nodular forms that are commonly found in collections. This special growth form makes the mineral a coveted rarity and sets it apart from ordinary Malachite specimens.
