Sea Snail Sea shell - S-639 TIBIA FUSUS (No reserve price)

Beautiful, large shell Tibia Fusus — common name Spindle tibia or Shinbone Tibia. This gastropod is a species of large marine snail, a mollusk from the family Strombidae, true conchs. These shells are large, spindle-shaped with moderately convex whorls and an exceptionally long, thin, and slightly curved siphonal canal. The base color ranges from straw yellow to reddish-beige. The aperture is oval and white inside, with 6 finger-like nodules on the outer lip. It is a fairly common species where it occurs, but due to its attractive appearance it is highly sought after by shell collectors. Dimensions: 30/30/235 mm. I highly recommend it to collectors and interior decorators.
