AI-assisted summary
Description from the seller
PENTAX ME + SMC Pentax 50mm F1.4, tested and working.
Hello from Japan!
We provide high-quality cameras and lenses to the world.
The Pentax ME of 1976 was one of the smallest and lightest 35mm SLRs of its time, an aperture-priority automatic camera that made Pentax's compact M-series famous. It uses the Pentax K bayonet mount. It is offered here with the fast SMC Pentax 50mm f/1.4 standard lens, prized for its bright, sharp rendering.
Important — please read carefully:
The lens has fine cleaning marks on the rear element. Please review the photos and consider this before bidding.
Condition: Used — Good
Pre-owned, heavy signs of use, or minor optical flaws
Serial Number
Please check the photo.
Appearance
Scuffs and scratches from normal use. Please check the photos for details.
Optical Condition
Lens (SMC Pentax 50mm f/1.4): Fine cleaning marks and some dust on the rear element
Viewfinder: Clean (cleaned inside)
Functional
The camera operates properly: shutter fires at all speeds and the light meter responds.
Light seals replaced.
Measured Performance
We check these cameras on a shutter tester rather than by ear, and we publish what we measured:
- Light meter accuracy — EV12: 1.1 UNDER / EV15: 0.5 UNDER
Negative film has enough latitude to absorb deviations of this size, but the figures are here so you can judge for yourself.
Servicing
This camera was serviced by us before listing:
- Viewfinder cleaned internally
- Light seals (foam) replaced
Known Issues
1. Fine cleaning marks and some dust on the rear lens element. Please check the close-up photos.
Bundled Items
Only what you can see in the pictures will be included in the package.
Important Notes for Used Items
