AI-assisted summary
Description from the seller
PENTAX MG + SMC Pentax 50mm F1.4, tested and working.
Hello from Japan!
We provide high-quality cameras and lenses to the world.
The Pentax MG of 1982 is a compact, easy-to-use aperture-priority automatic SLR from Pentax's M-series, using the Pentax K bayonet mount. It is offered here with the fast SMC Pentax 50mm f/1.4 standard lens.
Important — please read carefully:
The lens has balsam-separation haze. Please review the photos and consider this before bidding.
Condition: Used — Good
Pre-owned, heavy signs of use, or minor optical flaws
Serial Number
Please check the photo.
Appearance
Scuffs and scratches from normal use. Please check the photos for details.
Optical Condition
Lens (SMC Pentax 50mm f/1.4): Haze from balsam separation on the rear group
Viewfinder: Clean
Functional
The camera operates properly: shutter fires at all speeds and the light meter responds.
Light seals replaced.
Measured Performance
We check these cameras on a shutter tester rather than by ear, and we publish what we measured:
- Light meter accuracy — EV12: 1.0 UNDER / EV15: 1.3 UNDER
Negative film has enough latitude to absorb deviations of this size, but the figures are here so you can judge for yourself.
Servicing
This camera was serviced by us before listing:
- Light seals (foam) replaced
Known Issues
1. Haze from balsam separation on the rear lens group. It may reduce contrast and cause flare. Please check the close-up photos.
Bundled Items
Only what you can see in the pictures will be included in the package.
Important Notes for Used Items
As this is a used item, subtle imperfections may exist that are not individually described.
