Description from the seller
KONICA EEmatic, tested and working.
Hello from Japan!
We provide high-quality cameras and lenses to the world.
The Konica EE-matic (1963) is a compact coupled-rangefinder camera from Konishiroku, one of Japan's oldest photographic makers. It pairs a sharp Hexanon 40mm f/2.8 lens with a selenium cell ringing the lens barrel, giving programmed automatic exposure with no battery required. Solidly made and pleasingly simple, it is an appealing entry point into 1960s Japanese rangefinders.
Important — please read carefully:
The light meter is about 2 stops off and the top cover has a dent. Please review the photos and consider this before bidding.
Condition: Used — Good
Pre-owned, heavy signs of use, or minor optical flaws
Serial Number
Please check the photo.
Appearance
Scuffs and scratches from normal use. Please check the photos for details.
Optical Condition
Lens: Clear, no issues
Viewfinder: Clean (cleaned inside); rangefinder image OK
Functional
The shutter fires and the light meter responds.
Light seals replaced.
Measured Performance
We check these cameras on a shutter tester rather than by ear, and we publish what we measured:
- Light meter accuracy — EV12: 2.0 OVER / EV15: 2.2 OVER
Some of these deviations exceed what negative film can absorb — please read the Known Issues section and allow for them when shooting.
Servicing
This camera was serviced by us before listing:
- Viewfinder cleaned internally
- Light seals (foam) replaced
Known Issues
1. The light meter reads about 2 stops over (2.0 stops at EV12, 2.2 stops at EV15). Please use an external meter or compensate.
2. There is a dent on the top cover.
Bundled Items
Only what you can see in the pictures will be included in the package.
Important Notes for Used Items
