Description from the seller
This impressive sphalerite rough captivates with its exceptional transparency and the intense color effect, which is especially spectacular under illumination. Even in normal light the piece shows warm honey, amber, and deep orange-brown hues with highly glossy crystal faces and a glassy sheen. The natural structure consists of numerous angular crystal fragments, reflections, and fine inner planes that give the piece enormous optical depth.
Under transmitted light the mineral turns into a nearly glowing play of colors: intense red, orange, and golden fire. The translucent areas appear almost like molten lava or liquid amber, creating an extraordinarily lively aura. The numerous natural cleavage surfaces produce countless light reflections and prismatic effects that make the piece look different from every viewing angle.
Sphalerite is among the most fascinating collector minerals and is known for its high luster and strong refractive power. Highly transparent pieces with such intense luminescence and an aesthetic structure are especially sought after and have a very striking presence in any mineral collection or display case.
Sphalerite is traditionally attributed activating and strengthening energy. It symbolizes vitality, focus, and inner strength and is often associated with motivation, creativity, and energetic balance.
