Description from the seller

Splendid dessert set consisting of 6 flat plates, 1 service tray, produced by the Richard Ginori manufactory, model Antico Doccia, decoration "Taormina". The plates were made in the 1990s and are inspired by the wavy profiles of plates from Florentine Baroque silverware.

The plates are in excellent overall condition. Each piece of the service is decorated with an elegant multicolored composition in tones of red and gray, which enhances the charm and elegance of the timeless Antico Doccia service.

Table service with classic lines, Doccia is the place where, in 1735, from the artistic and entrepreneurial intuition of Marchese Carlo Ginori, the historic Manifattura was born, the factory of white gold. The Antico Doccia form defines the deepest essence, which identifies the manufactory in the world as a Maison of excellence of pure porcelain and design. Curved lines and a profile inspired by late Baroque Florentine silverware make Antico Doccia a timeless collection. The pure white evokes a sense of returning home, to a place all our own, ageless in its beauty.

Perfect condition.
NOTE:
The set consists of:
3 flat plates of 19.5 cm
3 flat plates of 21 cm
1 flat plate of 26 cm

Seller's Story

My name is Riccardo. I recently graduated in Art History from the University of Florence and I am passionate about porcelain. From tableware to artistic vases, from figurines to tea and coffee sets, I am fascinated by the mastery and creativity of great artisans and designers who manage to shape this fragile material, transforming a rough mass into masterpieces with a story to tell. During my years at university I began to become interested in the history of nineteenth- and twentieth-century tableware; today, every day, I deal with prestigious porcelain pieces that always have something to say to me and to those who purchase them. I love that every day I can discover more about the objects I find while traveling around Italy, always learning something new. I always try to convey to my clients this passion I have for the objects I sell, certain that each of them has a story to tell: that of the creator, that of the one who preserved it, and that of the person who will give it a new life.
