A devotional octagonal reliquary enclosed within a wooden frame carved and gilded with motifs of sprigs and foliage, protected by contemporary glass. In the center of the composition rises a bas-relief Crucifix on a cross carved with phytomorphic motifs. The background is finely decorated with an elaborate conventual and devotional art, characterized by rich ornaments in metallic braiding, beads of polychrome glass, inset stones, and floral embroidery that symbolize the Passion. The inner border is adorned with a refined machine-made lace trim. Italy, late 19th century – early 20th century.
