Description from the seller
Pair of decorative bottles in cut and gilded glass – Europe, first half of the 20th century
Elegant pair of decorative bottles in transparent glass, characterized by a refined incised floral motif enriched with gilded details. Both feature a slightly elongated bulbous body resting on a circular foot, and a flared neck adorned with three relief rings with thin gilded finishes. The flared mouth is further enhanced by a gilded band.
The decoration, distributed along the bodies of the bottles, consists of stylized botanical elements, leaves and small ornamental motifs created with a matte surface finish, in contrast with the transparency of the glass.
The shape and decorative repertoire recall European glassmaking tradition of the first half of the twentieth century, with possible Central European influences.
The two pieces have different dimensions but share the same formal and decorative setup, forming a harmonious ensemble.
