NOVALUX INOX - Cutlery set (37) - Vintage for 12 People - No Reserve Price - Plating ARG - 1000

Elegant vintage tableware service for 12 people, made in Italy by the renowned Novalux manufactory. The set comprises a total of 37 pieces:

12 Dinner Knives – Length: 20.5 cm
12 Dinner Forks – Length: 19 cm
12 Soup Spoons – Length: 19 cm
1 Serving Ladle – Length: 29 cm

The cutlery is distinguished by a sober and versatile Mid-Century Modern style. The handle features a refined molding with perimetral grooves/threads running along the edges, imparting dynamism, three-dimensionality, and a comfortable ergonomic grip. The knife blades are shaped with a slightly curved sabre profile. The set is stamped with the inscription "NOVALUX INOX" ARG 1000 to ensure cutting resistance and rust resistance.

What the alloy is and the meaning of "ARG 1000": Alloy base: The body of the cutlery is made from a solid high-density metal alloy (usually alpacca or argentiferous brass), a material ideal for structural stability and weight balance. The knife blades, however, are made of stainless steel (Inox). ARG 1000 Plating: Indicates a high-thickness galvanic silvering performed with 100% pure silver (finishing grade 1000/1000). This process deposits a layer of genuine high-purity silver onto the underlying alloy, giving the shiny, precious, warm look typical of solid silver, combined with great durability over time.

Overall condition: Excellent. The set retains superb surface shine. Being an authentic vintage item, it shows light and natural signs of wear and prior use (micro-scratches from contact, very slight oxidation patinas), which do not detract from its beauty but attest to its period originality.
