Description from the seller
Old Belle kettle from the German manufactory Nahrath, dating from the 1950s, still bearing its original label on the side. It captivates with its rounded silhouette, bright pastel yellow color, and white enamel interior.
Its domed lid features a black Bakelite button. The chrome-plated metal handle is adorned with a striped Bakelite grip, characteristic of mid-20th-century utilitarian design. The spout is integrated into the body of the kettle.
Founded in 1907 in Ahlen, Westphalia, the Stephan Nahrath manufactory specialized in enameled kitchenware. It continued its activity until 1991. This piece testifies to the expertise of the German enameling industry and the fondness for pastel colors in post-war kitchens.
Condition: very good vintage condition overall. The enamel has a few localized chips and signs of use, mainly on the lid rim and around the spout. The brand label is still present. See photographs for details.
Dimensions and weight:
Height with lid: 19 cm
Spout-to-handle length: 26 cm
Body diameter: 18 cm
Weight: about 1 kg
Estimated era: 1950s
