​I am selling a splendid large oval tapestry (153 cm × 175 cm) made in Gobelin / Jacquard fabric with a relief effect (three-dimensional / brocade texture).
The floral motifs and the outlines of the designs are slightly raised to the touch compared to the background, giving the fabric extraordinary body and visual depth.

​The design features an elegant composition inspired by the Orient:
Central subjects and frames: Geishas in traditional outfits with fans and parasols, set in landscapes with pagodas, cherry blossoms and Mount Fuji
Rich garlands of roses and peonies with raised work in antique pink and red tones, on a sage green, gray and beige background.
Fine finishes: Edge finished with a soft and elegant wool fringe trim in an oval ring applied with reinforced ribbon stitching
