An exceptional pair of splendid three-branch Baccarat candelabra dating from the second half of the 19th century.
Made of high-quality crystal glass and satin glass. The candelabra are unsigned.
The central part of each candelabrum is an elegant female Caryatid made of satin glass, inspired by classical sculpture of ancient Greece. Slender figures in draped garments form the support for the richly decorated three-branch candle-carrying sections.
The upper parts are made of transparent, molded and faceted crystal glass and are richly adorned with numerous hanging drop-shaped pendants and decorative crystal elements. The whole is crowned by tall, faceted crystal finials. Wide, fluted bases complete the monumental and elegant form of the candelabra.
The candelabra retain their original elements.
Height of each candelabrum: approx. 62 cm.
Antique condition, appropriate for their age. The candelabra show signs of use and previous repairs. There are local chips and chips. Two bobèches were glued in the past; one of them also has a chip. One of the candle-supporting elements was also repaired. There is a chip on the base of one of the candelabra.
