AI-assisted summary
Description from the seller
Sturdy protobiface (720 Gr) made from a partly preserved flint nodule. These tools are regarded as transitional pieces between the earlier choppers/chopping tools and the fully fluted handaxes. Characteristic is the preservation of a large part of the cortex, and with a minimum of removals still aiming for a pointed form. These protobifaces are not common in large assemblages.
Interesting wind erosion and beautiful patina.
No restorations, in perfect condition.
dimensions 130 x 104 mm
