AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

A fairly large and heavy knob-headed piece made of quartzite. The inside was bored out from both sides so that in the middle of it a sharper edge is formed.
This artefact could also have been used as a weighted element for a digging stick that was used to extract tubers and other crops from the ground. This specimen is in good form with a nice patina and pleasant signs of use along the inside. There are cracks due to erosion, temperature differences, and aging, but the piece is stable.
No restorations.
