Small vintage Murano glass vase, dating from the mid-20th century (circa the 1950s). This masterpiece of Murano craftsmanship embodies the timeless elegance of Italian Mid-Century Modern design.
The vase is distinguished by the extraordinary and intricate Zanfirico work (or retortoli filigree): a harmonious and hypnotic alternation of vertical ribbons in turquoise blue and white filigree canes on a transparent background, deftly twisted by hand by the master glassmaker. The sinuous bottle-shaped silhouette, with a tall neck and a bulbous body, captures and emphasizes light, creating unique reflections that lend refinement to any environment.
