Description from the seller

Our Lady of Banneux – plaster – Dupon, Bruges, Belgium – mid-20th century

Professionally shipped – more than 1,000 five-star reviews worldwide.

Large and graceful statue of the Virgin of the Poor of Banneux in a praying posture. Mary appeared eight times in 1933 to a twelve-year-old girl in her garden, calling herself the Virgin of the Poor.

Later that same year, a chapel was erected on the site of the apparitions, followed by the construction of a basilica from 1948. The Vatican recognized the apparitions in 1952. The slim posture, the long falling folds, and the refined facial expression give this model an elegant appearance within the well-known iconography of Banneux.

Height approx. 68 cm; made in polychromed plaster with rosary, in good condition with signs of aging and wear and slight paint degradation. Unmarked, but this model was produced by Dupon

Please study the photos carefully, they are part of the description.

Shipped with track & trace.
