AI-assisted summary
Description from the seller
Unique vintage taxidermy of a boxfish with teeth, France, 20th century
Notably, the boxfish features a rock-solid beak with snow-white teeth for cracking shells and crabs.
The underside reveals artisanal stitching, evidence of the traditional drying and preparation process. The fine, spiky skin and preserved fins give the specimen a very striking and dynamic form.
This taxidermy is in beautiful antique condition given its age. Here and there, signs of aging on the fins, but overall in excellent condition.
Indeed a touch of mystery and maritime history for the passionate collector of curiosities seeking a special "eyecatcher" for the cabinet of wonders!
