Lekythos - Ancient Greece - 4th century B.C. - Clay
red-figure miniature pottery squat, decorated on the front of the body with a female head in profile, framed by a pair of foliate sprigs. Its decoration indicates that it belonged to a woman of high social class. These types of pieces were used to store perfumes or ointments, with a closed opening that allowed the liquid to be poured little by little.
Acquired from a Spanish gallery (2026), with an original certificate,
