Description from the seller

Elegant Smiths Enfield table clock in Art Deco style, probably dating to the 1930s–1940s. The dark wood case features the characteristic curved shape, with a glossy finish and decorative side details. The light dial with stylized Arabic numerals is signed Smiths and is protected by a convex glass.

The clock is equipped with a mechanical manual-wind movement by Smiths Enfield with three trains, with a winding power reserve of about 8 days and a Westminster chime with quarter-hour strikes on 5 gongs. The movement features brass plates with geometric decorative work.

The winding key is present. The pendulum, however, is not present and therefore the clock’s functioning has not been verified. The chime and movement are therefore sold as untested.

The case is in good vintage condition, with normal signs of wear and use, including small scratches, abrasions, and finish variations, visible in the photographs. The movement appears complete and well preserved.

A refined Smiths Enfield Art Deco clock, particularly interesting for the three-train Westminster movement and suitable for collectors and lovers of vintage clockmaking.
