Stamped (green stamp) 'villeroy & boch / mettlach / fabriqué en Saar / 1562', and with embossed marks.
Villeroy & Boch reissued this model in the 1980s; here are plates from the original series produced in the 1950s.
Floral decor (rose, tulip, peony) on an ecru background, softly scalloped border, accented by a forest green fine line.
