Description from the seller

Up for auction now: a splendid, very rare, and historically valuable vintage stereoscopic camera—the Murer Stereo—produced in Italy by the prestigious Murer & Duroni of Milan during the 1910s (circa 1910–1915).

The lot is presented in good overall vintage condition, with normal signs of use and storage consistent with the object's age of well over a century, ideal for a high-end collection and display.

Optics: The camera is equipped with its original paired stereoscopic lenses coupled Rapide Aplanat Murer 1:8 F=135 mm. The lenses appear free of deep scratches or traces of mold; there is only a normal, widespread and light vintage patina due to the decades elapsed, entirely physiological for a piece of this age.

Mechanical: The lot appears functional at the level of manual operation.

Aesthetics: Good overall vintage condition, as clearly documented by the photographs. The solid and robust rectangular metal housing retains its original black faux-leather covering with a textured pattern, showing the classic and fascinating signs of time, slight surface opacifications and a beautiful historical patina along the external profiles.

International tracked shipping, fully insured and professionally super-protective packaging to guarantee maximum safety during transport.
