AI-assisted summary
Description from the seller
Two cats, eyes closed, one paw slightly raised—both tame your books and create a relaxed atmosphere in the room.
These cast iron cat bookends serve a dual purpose: each is a sturdy, heavy bookend—weighing approximately 1560g of cast iron, enough to hold down an entire row of thick books—yet they resemble two contented cats curled up at the far end of a bookshelf.
Each cat sits upright, eyes gently closed, one paw elegantly raised, the other tucked under its body—a perfect depiction of feline contentment. The surface features a delicate texture and the feel of weathered metal, like aged cast iron, warm and quietly vintage.
Placeed in pairs at either end of a bookshelf, fireplace mantel, or sideboard, they create a serene, symmetrical still life amidst books, plants, and ceramics. Each is approximately 12cm high, 5.5cm wide, and 8cm long—an ideal size to hold up a bookshelf without appearing bulky.
This gift would be both adorable and practical for cat lovers and book lovers alike.
