AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

This remarkable Art Deco pendulum clock from the Amsterdam School is an exceptional model with a gorgeous appearance.
A clock case in this design is rarely seen and is practically still in mint condition.
The color variations of the oak and coromandel wood are beautiful to behold.
The cabinet is very attractive and made from different woods such as oak and coromandel wood, which were commonly used in Art Deco furniture. A type of wood that has now become almost unaffordable, but in those years was widely used in the Amsterdam School.
Note the symmetrical construction of the clock case, which is so characteristic of the Art Deco style. And note the front where four oak panels are placed against each other, which is quite unique.
This pendulum clock dates from 1932, which is faintly readable in pencil on the back door.
The sides are strikingly finished with rounded block sections on both sides, finished in coromandel wood; you hardly see this in other clocks.
The intricately grooved dial is made of thick solid brass and has been left in its original patina, as have the sharply designed hands, all original.
The movement has been ultrasonic cleaned and is in near-new condition and is lightly oiled at the pivots where needed, and runs smoothly for a week, with the half- and full-hour strike sounding accordingly.
The clock will be shipped including a key, professionally and carefully packed.
