Description from the seller
Discover Condrieu Les Alexandrins 2023, an exceptional white wine signed by Maison Les Alexandrins, a member of the Perrin Family. Hailing from the Condrieu appellation in the Northern Rhône Valley, this wine highlights the Viognier grape, grown exclusively on this terroir renowned for producing whites of remarkable aromatic finesse.
The grapes come from vines located in Condrieu and Limony, notably on the Cherry and Rozay slopes. Planted on terraces and sun-exposed, they root in granitic soils, blending decomposed granite and loess. This combination of terroir, altitude and sunshine grants the wine beautiful freshness, aromatic tension, and an elegant mineral character.
In the glass, Condrieu Les Alexandrins 2023 reveals a golden robe with pale reflections. The nose is seductive and expressive, driven by notes of peach, apricot, exotic fruits and citrus, enriched by delicate floral hints typical of Viognier. On the palate, the wine offers roundness, a velvety texture and liveliness, with a persistent, fresh and harmonious finish.
Vinified partly in tank and partly in oak, then aged eight months on fine lees, this Condrieu develops richness, complexity and a beautiful aromatic purity. Serve at 10 to 12 °C; it will elegantly accompany a fish fillet in sauce, pan-seared scallops, seafood, creamy poultry or an aged goat cheese.
Enjoy now on its fruit, this Condrieu 2023 can also be cellared for about 3 to 5 years to gain breadth and more complex notes. A rare, refined and generous white, ideal for a festive meal, a gift, or a lovely occasion among lovers of great white wines.
