A lot of three tin litho toy objects: two postwar vehicles produced in the American occupation zone in Germany (Technofix GE 258 and Huki 546) and a prewar Marx Toys climber (Zippo/Jocko), with packaging lacking instructions and box, redelijk condition, tested and functional.
Description from the seller
A lot of three tin litho toy objects is offered. The lot consists of two postwar vehicles produced in the American occupation zone in Germany and a prewar wind-up climbing monkey by the American manufacturer Marx Toys.
Object 1: Technofix Motorbike (Model GE 258, U.S. Zone Germany)
This is a tin-plate wind-up motorcycle ('Fendt Aufwind') from the German manufacturer Technofix, model number GE 258. The item was produced in the postwar period (circa 1948-1955) in the American occupation zone in Germany. The side bears the inscription "MADE IN U.S.-ZONE GERMANY U.S. PAT. appl." The model is supplied with a wind key. The mechanism is intact and can be wound, but currently runs with a stiff stop. The internals require maintenance (lubrication) to function smoothly again. The lithography shows signs of aging.
Object 2: Huki Aircraft 'Looping Ace' (Model 546, U.S. Zone Germany)
This is an original vintage tin aircraft toy ('Looping Ace' stunt plane, model number 546) from the German toy manufacturer Huki (Hubert Kienberger). While the initials "HK" on the wings are sometimes linked to Hammerer & Co. (Vienna), this specific model is known as a Huki issue. The plane was produced from the late 1940s to the early 1950s. The rear of the wings is marked with "MADE IN US-ZONE" and "GERMANY." The aircraft is supplied with a wind key. The wind-up mechanism works, but runs with friction and requires maintenance.
Object 3: Marx Toys 'Climbing Monkey' (Zippo / Jocko)
This is a wind-up monkey (Zippo or Jocko the Climbing Monkey) produced by Louis Marx & Co. around the 1930s. The toy is made of lithographed tin (tin litho).
