Description from the seller

Albert Gustav Bunge (A.G. Bunge) – Art Deco patinated copper bowl with Edelweiss – circa 1930

A stunning handmade Art Déco bowl (coin or pill holder) by the well-known German metal artist Albert Gustav Bunge (1893–1967). Bunge established his own renowned metal workshop in Emmering (Germany) in the 1920s and is known for his minimalist, organic designs.

This particular piece is made of thin copper, chemically patinated by the artist. This gives the object a deep, characteristic dark top layer with a warm, reddish copper glow and subtle greenish oxidation accents. The upper side is manually decorated with refined, engraved botanical motifs, including the iconic Alpine flower Edelweiss.

On the underside the bowl is clearly and authentically signed with the duty stamp: A.G. BUNGE.

Specifications:
• Designer: Albert Gustav Bunge (A.G. Bunge)
• Period: circa 1925 - 1935 (Art Deco)
• Origin: Germany
• Material: Patinated copper
• Diameter: 7 cm (miniature / pocket size)
• Condition: In nice, authentic vintage condition with a beautiful, time‑aged patina. No dents or deep scratches that disturb the design. See the photos for an accurate impression of the condition.
