Rare set of four fixed metal chairs designed by François Caruelle, dating to 1940–1950, made in France; in good condition with age-related wear, dimensions 80 × 53 × 43 cm, complete lot of four with one rubber foot missing, fully stackable.
Description from the seller
Rare set of 4 fixed chairs – François CARUELLE (Modernist Design 1940-1950)
Exceptional collectible pieces for lovers of French industrial and modernist design.
For sale, a complete and very rare lot of 4 fixed chairs with a rigid frame, attributed to the famous engineer and designer François Caruelle (a key member of the modernist movement, who collaborated with major names like Jean Prouvé).
Unlike the folding auxiliary models encountered from time to time, this fixed version is extremely hard to find on the market. It’s a genuine opportunity to acquire a homogeneous set of 4 seats.
They have withstood the years and still feel solid; they’ve come from the attic today and are thus in their patina.
One foot rubber is missing.
Perfectly stackable for very practical storage. 100% metal.
They can be left in their patina to preserve their current charm or restored/brushed according to your preferences.
