Vigneto La Casuccia is one of the most prestigious and representative wines from Castello di Ama, a historic estate located in Gaiole in Chianti, in the heart of Chianti Classico.
Produced for the first time in 1985, La Casuccia is a true in-house cru, created through the selection of the best plots of the same-named vineyard and produced only in the vintages deemed up to standard. The vineyard
The La Casuccia vineyard is located at an altitude of about 470–495 meters, on predominantly clay-limestone soils. The different plots and exposures of the vineyard allow obtaining grapes characterized by concentration, freshness and elegance.
The 2021 vintage is composed of 80% Sangiovese and 20% Merlot, a blend that combines the structure, freshness and elegance of Sangiovese with the depth and softness of Merlot.

On the palate it is deep and structured, yet refined. The tannin texture is dense and elegant, supported by a beautiful freshness and notable persistence.
