The collection covers a time span from the early 1950s to the 1980s, with a central core rich in material from the 1960s, '70s and '80s.
The collection consists of 3 albums (1 dedicated to Italy and 2 dedicated to the international scene) with a central core very rich in material from the 1960s, '70s and '80s. They are finely organized and complete with descriptive cards, explanatory texts, photos, stamps, envelopes/letters, FDCs and postcards.
Strong pieces and historical highlights from the 1950s and 1960s:
- USA -> Australia (1950): Historic letter traveled with a thematic stamp addressed to Australia.

- England (1955): Little packet/letter with an old postmark.

- France (1957): Excellent thematic page containing the FDC "Don du Sang" (Metz 1957) and an old envelope with a special Paris cancellation (January 1957).
- Belgium (1957 and 1958): Envelopes and commemorative philatelic material of the era.
- Belgium (1959): Unstamped stamps (MNH/MH).
- USSR (1956 and 1965): 4 unstamped stamps (MNH/MH), 1 stamp dedicated to the nurse in the factory, 1 dedicated to offering the arm in a noble gesture, and 2 dedicated to the Blood Donor Day.
Contents of the 3 Albums:
1. Album 1 (Italy AVIS): Complete documentation with AVIS history, special cancellations, First Day Covers (FDC), vintage postcards and informative sheets.
2. Album 2 and 3 (Abroad / Worldwide): A wide international panorama illustrating the evolution of blood donation awareness campaigns and post-war health campaigns in various countries around the world.
