Prominent representation of the Sacred Heart of Jesus enthroned, originating from the renowned religious statuary workshop El Arte Cristiano of Olot, whose mark appears in relief on the back of the image. Founded in 1880, this workshop is a historical reference in Olot’s religious sculptural tradition, recognized for the quality of its images, its careful polychromy, and the richness of its finishes.

Christ sits on a throne inspired by Baroque, richly ornamented with volutes and gilded vegetal motifs. He wears an ivory tunic and a red mantle with delicate gold decorations, raises his right hand in a blessing and holds with the left the orb crowned by a cross. The Sacred Heart on the chest and the radiant gold framing the head complete a composition of great iconographic richness, on a base with a green marble-like finish.

The image is accompanied by an independent mural pedestal, with raised vegetal ornamentation and a gold finish, which allows presenting the whole ensemble with notable sculptural presence.
