Set of three Fasem Ginger dining chairs from Italy dating to the 1980s, with red saddle leather seats, curved leather backs with a lace corset detail, slim chrome tubular legs, and stackable design; dimensions 40 cm D x 43 cm W x 80 cm H, in fair condition.
Description from the seller
A set of three Italian “Ginger” dining chairs by Fasem, from the 1980s. Each has a saddle-style cognac leather seat and a curved leather backrest, held by slim, slightly splayed chrome tubular legs with polished chrome caps.
The detail that sets this model apart is at the back. A laced corset opening with eyelets and a leather cord runs down the centre of each backrest, so the chairs look as good from behind as from the front, which is useful in an open room or at the end of a table. The chairs are stackable.
The leather has developed a warm patina from decades of use, with the deeper brown on the backrests and lighter areas on the seats. The chrome is bright and clean.
