Description from the seller
**No reserve price.** The highest bidder wins this special specimen.
An impressive pyrite specimen from the famous Huanzala mine in Peru, with beautifully developed large pyritohedral crystals that display an exceptional metallic luster. Although these crystals at first glance strongly resemble octahedra, this is the characteristic pyritohedral crystal form for which pyrite is known. The sharp geometry and clearly developed crystal faces give the specimen a particularly aesthetic appearance.
Among the gold-colored pyrite crystals lie contrasting aggregates of dark sphalerite, which add extra character and visual depth to the piece. The combination of glossy pyrite crystals and dark sphalerite provides a striking natural contrast and makes this specimen a real eye-catcher.
A lovely and decorative collectible for lovers of high-quality mineral specimens.
**Vindplaats:** Huanzala-mijn, district Huallanca, provincie Dos de Mayo, regio Huánuco, Peru.
