This is Plantation XO 20th Anniversary Rum, a rum from Barbados created in 2009 to celebrate Alexandre Gabriel’s 20th anniversary. The rum is crafted from aged rums from the West Indies Rum Distillery; they are first matured in bourbon casks in Barbados, then transported to southwestern France, where they continue to age in French oak barrels. This "double-aging" method results in a rum with notes of tropical fruit, ripe banana, chocolate, and toasted coconut, featuring a long, indulgent finish.
