AI-assisted summary
Description from the seller
The Maap wall lamp by Flos stands out for its dramatic presence and its ability to transform the wall surface into a luminous field. The design stems from the desire to offer a broad, diffuse light source capable of enveloping the space with soft, uniform brightness.
Maap's structure consists of a luminous element equipped with multiple LED sources, supported by a cross-shaped support that serves as a magnetic anchor for the diffusing cover. The latter, manually moldable, suggests an organic and ever-changing surface, where each installation takes on a unique configuration. The fastening system using magnetic elements allows reshaping the diffuser's form, introducing a direct, personal interaction with the object. The lamp lends itself to different visual interpretations, evoking landscapes, maps, or enlarged cellular structures.
Maap's design approach favors lightness and formal freedom, inviting exploration of the relationship between light, matter, and space. The installation suggests usage scenarios in which the wall becomes the protagonist, hosting a light source that adapts to the context and the environment's needs. The presence of the wall lamp translates into an immersive visual effect, capable of accompanying both domestic spaces and public environments with a diffused and enveloping light.
Light source:
4 x E27 LED retrofit not included - 80W - IP20 - 50/60Hz - 220/240V - Remote-dimmable (not included) - Class II
