Beautiful Set of Two Antique Porcelain Half Dolls – Circa 1920–1930

An attractive and unusual collection of two antique porcelain half dolls, dating from approximately the 1920s–1930s, both in excellent condition with no chips or visible repairs.

This charming pair includes an elegant porcelain lady with complete legs, mounted in a decorative fabric pincushion, together with a finely detailed Art Deco-style half doll wearing a pale blue bonnet.

Both pieces display delicate facial features, beautifully modelled hands and attractive original-style colouring.

Doll 1 – Elegant Porcelain Lady with Full Legs and Decorative Pincushion

A particularly decorative example featuring a porcelain lady with delicately modelled facial features, softly curled hair and an elegant pose, with her arms resting across her bodice.

She wears a beautiful purple fabric skirt with elaborate cream and gold lace embellishments, forming a generously proportioned pincushion. Her complete porcelain legs extend gracefully beneath the skirt, finished with gold-coloured shoes.

The combination of porcelain legs, elaborate costume and decorative cushion makes this an especially appealing example for collectors of antique sewing accessories and porcelain half dolls.

Doll 2 – Art Deco Porcelain Half Doll with Blue Bonnet

A beautifully modelled antique porcelain half doll featuring blonde curled hair, delicate hand-painted facial features and an elegant pale blue bonnet decorated with a vivid orange bow.

She wears a pale blue fitted bodice with white puffed sleeves and an orange ribbon detail.

Her unusual pose, with one hand resting on her hip and the other raised gracefully towards her bonnet, gives this piece considerable character.

The porcelain retains its attractive colours and glossy finish.

The underside is stamped FOREIGN and bears the serial number 15154.

Two original attachment holes are present at the base, typical of porcelain half dolls intended for mounting onto fabric pincushions or decorative sewing accessories.
