Handgemaakt - Dollhouse Stoel - 1900-1910 - Belgium

Miniature 18th-century carved oak hall chair, the rectangular, open-worked backrest decorated with curling leaf motifs and a central rosette beneath a formed crest, the seat upholstered with fabric and fixed with miniature copper nails. Turned legs with floral motif connected by crossbars. Finely finished, with truly every detail worked out.
The chair measures H 25 x L 9 x D 10 cm.
This is the kind of furniture that was made as a mastercraft model by cabinetmakers (a "maîtrise" piece) or specifically as luxury dollhouse furniture. Rare.
