Description from the seller

Zeh Scherzer Bavaria - Luncheon Service for 6 People (19 Pieces) in Porcelain and Gilded Gold - Germany - Early 1950s
Description: Splendid, rich and refined luncheon service for 6 people in fine German porcelain from Zeh Scherzer Bavaria, dating from the early 1950s. The service is composed of a total of 19 pieces, including numerous sought-after serving pieces. The set stands out for a delicate classical garland decoration, composed of pink rose bouquets and green leaves. All profiles, edges, and the rich details of the shaped handles are finished in pure gold, applied entirely by hand with a brush by the master decorators of the era. The lot includes (19 pieces total):
6 Flat Plates: Diameter 25 cm | Height 3 cm
6 Soup Plates: Diameter 25 cm | Height 4.5 cm
1 Large Soup T tureen with lid: Height approx. 20 cm | Width (including handles) 36 cm | Weight: 1755 g
1 Fruit/Centerpiece pedestal with goblet: Diameter 23 cm | Height 12 cm
1 Circular Salad Bowl: Diameter 24 cm | Height 6 cm
1 Monobloc Sauce Boat: Single body with oval fused base to the cup. Base 26 x 14 cm | Maximum height 10 cm
3 Oval Serving Plates / Trays in scale sizes: Large: 33.5 x 22.5 cm | Height 2.5 cm
Medium: 28 x 18.5 cm | Height 2.5 cm
Small: 23.5 x 13.5 cm | Height 3 cm

Markings: On the bottom of each individual piece is the factory’s green underglaze mark (Zeh Scherzer with crown and script in italics). The mark is accompanied by hand-written gold numbers (146 and 306) which historically identify the master decorator and the reference pattern.

Condition: 18 Pieces (Plates, Tureen, Pedestal, Salad Bowl, Trays): In perfect, completely intact condition. The porcelain retains its original vitreous luster and the gilded gold applied by brush is bright, sharp and free from signs of wear. Sauce boat: structurally solid and stable, with no flaw or chipping, showing a slight and superficial vertical threading of about 3 cm, visible both inside and outside the cup, which does not affect use. The decorations and the gold are splendidly preserved. (Please review the close-up photographs carefully for maximum transparency).

Given the volume and delicacy of the service, the lot will be shipped with professional reinforced packaging (divided into two separate boxes if necessary to ensure the pieces’ safety).
