- Origin: France
- Year of creation: 1855
- Era / Style: Louis XV / Rococo (Historicism)
- Material: Solid wood construction with elaborately worked stucco / gesso appliqués (solid wood back), richly gilded
- Dimensions: approximately 100 cm × 100 cm (1 m × 1 m)
- Weight: Proudly about 14 kg (solid and heavy museum/manufacturer quality)

Details & Features:

- Opulent crown and cap: The mirror is crowned by a magnificent pierced gable top in the typical Rococo swoop with acanthus leaves, volutes, and a central lion mask (mascaron), symbolizing strength and grandeur. At the lower frame, a hanging, just as artistically designed decorative extension with floral elements and volutes harmoniously echoes the elegant design.

The wide frame features finely chiseled decor, including delicate ornaments and acanthus tendrils. The corners are architecturally distinct.

The solid, heavy wooden back is equipped on the reverse with historical metal corner braces for stabilization and old artisan/storage markings. Fitted with a traditional hanging system.

- Mirror glass:

The original mirror glass shows an age-appropriate, charming patina with fine authentic specks and blind spots, underscoring the genuine antique character.

Condition:

Good, age-appropriate preservation state dating to 1855. There are small, charming blemishes on the gilding and stucco edges (notably at the outer tip of the ornamental leaves), which beautifully accentuate the authentic antique character. The entire wood and frame construction is stable, heavy, and ready for immediate use.
