Description from the seller

Authentic Japanese Knife Set (2-piece) – Satake Sword Smith (濃州正宗作)

Offered: a stunning two-piece Japanese knife set. This traditional set is crafted by the renowned manufacturer Satake Cutlery (佐竹産業) from Seki (関市), the historic capital of Japanese sword and knife smithing. The two knives are each packaged in their original, individual plastic packaging.

On both the boxes and the blades lies the prestigious brand inscription 濃州正宗作 (Nōshū Masamune Saku), which stands for "Made by Nōshū Masamune" in homage to the legendary swordsmith. The set is internationally known as Sword Smith. The knives are fitted with traditional, light wooden handles (和ハンドル) with a contrasting black end cap.

The set comprises two classic Japanese models:

1. Sushimes – 20 cm: Traditionally long and slender model, labeled by Satake as Sushi knife. Specifically designed to cut ultra-thin and perfectly straight slices of raw fish or ingredients for sushi with a single smooth stroke, without damaging the texture.

2. Gyuto knife (牛刀包丁) – 18 cm: The all-round workhorse in the kitchen. With a pointed tip and streamlined blade, this knife is ideal for precise slicing, chopping and filleting of meat, fish and vegetables.

Specifications:

- Manufacturer: Satake Cutlery (佐竹産業)
- Brand line: Nōshū Masamune Saku (濃州正宗作) / Sword Smith
- Origin: Seki, Japan (関市, 日本製)
- Packaging: Original, individual plastic packaging per knife
- Handles: Traditional wood (木製)

A unique opportunity for lovers of Japanese culinary culture or a beautiful aesthetic addition to a knife collection!
