Pokémon - 1 Card - Clair's Dragonite 049/141 First edition

The "Clair’s Dragonite" (from the *Pokémon Card VS* set, 049/141) is highly sought after and trades at a high price for the following reasons:

• **Rarity of the *Pokémon Card VS* Series**
Released in 2001, the *Pokémon Card VS* series is now out of print, and the number of copies in circulation is limited.

• **High Demand for "1st Edition" Prints**
Cards featuring the "1ED" mark in the bottom-right corner—indicating a first-edition print—are particularly scarce, often sparking intense competition among collectors.

• **Association with the Character Clair**
The card features Dragonite as the ace Pokémon of Clair, a Dragon-type Gym Leader from the Johto region, as seen in the original games (*Pokémon Gold, Silver, and Crystal*).

• **Enduring Popularity of Dragonite**
As a Dragon/Flying-type Pokémon, Dragonite has consistently remained one of the most popular Pokémon, boasting a large and dedicated fanbase.

• **Distinctive, Soft-Style Illustration**
The card showcases a unique, soft artistic style characteristic of the *Pokémon Card VS* series—a look quite different from modern Pokémon card illustrations—which makes it highly valued as a collectible piece for display.
