Description from the seller

Higonokami Handle with browned steel SK5 Knife – Original SK5 Japanese knife – Made in Japan

Catawiki Category:
Collectible knives / Traditional Japanese knives

Description:
Elegant traditional Japanese Higonokami knife, made in Japan according to the historic artisanal tradition of famous Nippon folders. This model features a refined construction with a browned steel handle and a high-hardness SK5 carbon steel blade (about HRC 60), valued for its excellent cutting ability and long edge retention.

The minimalist, functional design is typical of authentic Higonokami: manual opening via rear lever ("chikiri"), slim profile and essential lines that evoke the Japanese culture of the traditional utilitarian knife.

The browned steel handle is adorned with inscriptions in Japanese and a terminal lanyard hole, a practical and characteristic detail of daily-use Japanese knives. The blade presents a slender, elegant geometry, ideal for both收藏 and light use.

Authentic Japanese production, highly sought after by enthusiasts of Eastern cutlery, vintage-style EDC, and the Higonokami tradition.
