Double diptych photo frame
old articulated, topped with a decorative pediment.
Made of bronze or finely chased gilded brass, presenting a beautiful period patina. The back is covered with a gilded plate.
Era Style: Louis XVI or Empire Napoleon III late 19th, early 20th century

A pediment with a ribbon knot and laurel crown surmounts each frame.
The borders of the frames feature chased moldings with laurel leaf motifs and pearls.
The two panels are connected by a central rod hinge allowing it to close or open in a V to place it on a piece of furniture.

At the back, there is a top hanging ring as well as a lyre-shaped articulated tripod stand for stable support on a flat surface.
One of the original glasses has a vertical crack on the left frame. The backing paper shows era-related stains.
