Description from the seller

This tooth is an exceptionally imposing specimen of a fossil Megalodon tooth, with a broad and almost perfectly symmetrical shape. The crown is tall, massive, and elegantly triangular, which immediately evokes a sense of power and scale.

What immediately stands out is the color: a mix of silvery gray, dark steel blue, and weathered ivory tones. The glossy enamel reflects light subtly, making the tooth look almost metallic. Along both cutting edges the fine serrations are still visible, a sign that the fossil has remained relatively well preserved.

The bourlette — the dark band between crown and root — is a deep black-brown and forms a strong contrast with the lighter root. That root itself has a rough, stone-like texture with clear fossilization traces and natural erosion. The asymmetrical wear and small nicks give the tooth character without undermining its impressive appearance.

With its broad base and thick crown, this seems to be a tooth from the forward part of the jaw of an adult Megalodon. The size alone suggests a gigantic predator that dominated the oceans millions of years ago. On the transparent display stand the fossil almost seems like a museum piece: at once elegant, ancient, and intimidating.
