Description from the seller

An important and fascinating traditional “Sicilian” knife made by Fraraccio, a historic cutler from Frosolone, renowned for reinterpreting the great Italian regional classics of popular cutlery.

This model represents one of the most iconic knives of the Sicilian rural and pastoral tradition. Used for generations by farmers, breeders, and fishermen, it was the classic daily companion always in the pocket: robust, simple, reliable, and built for real work.

The peculiarity of this specimen lies in its significant size, a fundamental characteristic in Sicilian tradition. The long blade allowed not only daily agricultural uses but also table use during meals in the countryside and in the masserie (stables/farmhouses).

The knife features the classic handle in the humble material of popular tradition, yet enriched by a splendid natural chromatic finish that makes each piece unique. Brass collar and satin 420 stainless steel blade with the engraving “Siciliano made in Italy.”

A historic, essential, and authentic model, today increasingly difficult to find in these conditions and in this substantial size.

Specifications:

Total length when open: 28 cm
Blade length: 12 cm
Blade in 420 INOX steel
Brass collar
Made by Fraraccio
Made in Italy in the early 2000s
Traditional Sicilian model
Excellent condition

Conservation status:
Excellent overall condition. The blade is well preserved, mechanical action is smooth, and original materials.
