Antico tavolo in palissandro figurato, fine ’800 – inizio ’900 - Venature preziose e volute scolpite - Centre table - Rosewood - Hand-carved

Antique figured rosewood living-room table — Shaped top and carved pedestal base, late 19th – early 20th century

Elegant living-room or breakfast table, dating from the late nineteenth to the early twentieth century, characterized by a shaped top and an articulated central pedestal.
The figured rosewood veneer enhances the surface with pronounced grain and natural contrasts, following the sinuous profile of the top. The molded edge underlines its design, creating a refined play of curves and recesses.
The central support, turned and carved, features ornamental motifs that continue into the shaped scroll feet, in Rococo taste. The balance between the quivering line of the top and the sculptural character of the base gives the piece a distinctive presence.
A piece of furniture suited to a classic living room, to a representative entrance hall, or to a historic home, where it can also be appreciated as a central element of the composition.
