Vintage Murano crystal glass vase by Cristalart Venezia (Italy), dating from the 1960s–1970s, with Sommerso technique and Bullicante texture, featuring a cobalt-blue interior blending to amber in transparent crystal, height 26.5 cm, width 12 cm, depth 7 cm, weight about 2.5 kg, original Cristalart Venezia sticker on the front, in very good vintage condition with minor signs of wear on the base.
Description from the seller
Exquisite, heavy vintage block vase made of finest Murano glass, crafted by the renowned Cristalart Venezia manufactory in the 1960s–1970s.
This sculptural vase impresses with its modern, geometric design and the combination of two demanding Venetian glassmaking techniques.
1. Sommerso technique: The vividly cobalt-blue inner core flows into a noble amber tone and is embedded in a thick layer of transparent crystal glass.
2. Bullicante effect: A fine, uniform network of trapped air bubbles runs through the glass, creating a fascinating play of light depending on the angle of view.
The object still bears the original oval manufacturer sticker ("Cristalart VENEZIA") on the front. Through the faceted cuts and the massive construction, the vase appears, depending on the viewing angle and light, like a cut gemstone.
