Exquisite Antique Bedspread from a Trousseau – Early 1900s – Twisted Cotton Jacquard Matelassé

• Dimensions: Generous length of 286 cm x Width 215 cm
• Craftsmanship: Handmade on loom. Jacquard weave in relief with a damask floral motif in a matelassé / piqué style.
• Finishes: Side edges with the original loom selvage (fixed standard width of 215 cm of the period). Upper and lower ends finished with dense vintage cotton canneté trim, originally applied to seal and protect the warp threads.
Condition:
Excellent vintage condition. The fabric is sturdy, intact and clean, with no halos, moisture stains, or yellowing.
