AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

A high quality manuscript from a damaged Qur’an of the early Qajar dynasty (1794-1925) which had the exact date on the last page of AH1224, or AD 1809/10. Arabic manuscript on burnished paper, written in black naskh within gold-ruled panels, with a red nasta'liq interlinear Persian translation beneath each line. It contains three auras: Surah 93, al-Duha (The Morning Sunlight), v:6-11; Surah 94, ashl-Sharh (Uplifting the Heart) complete; and Surah 95, al-Tin (The Fig), v:1-6. THe two Surah headings are illuminated in gold and red on conalt blue grounds with polychrome floral decoration. God rosette verse markers with blue and red dots and gold flecked borders complete the design. The outer margin has gilt 'but a'' shaped (an almond- or teardrop-shaped ornamental motif with a sharp, curved upper end. In the West, this pattern is widely known as the paisley pattern) containing Persian commentary in nata'liq, with further annotations running across the upper and lower margins.

The final section of the Quran contains a beautifully sequenced cluster of short chapters (Surahs 93 to 95) that trace a deeply personal and spiritual journey. Collectively, these chapters address the Prophet Muhammad's early hardships, spiritual reassurance, and the core foundation of Islamic revelation. When read in chronological and textual order, they form a thematic bridge from the very first moment of revelation to the emotional and psychological support the Prophet needed shortly after.
